Dear Mr. Strickland:

I am writing you with reference to One John Siessiger who is interested
in going to Kansas University. |

John is one of the most popular students that has ever graduated from
our high school. He was president of the senior class and several honor
societies. He played forward on my basketball teams for the past two years
and was in a large way responsible for the record that we have made.

He is still growing and is close to six feet tall. We used both the
slow break and the fast break type of offense and he led my scorers in both
types of game. I bel&éve that he is one of the best defensive players that
we had on the team this year. He is the aggressive type and wilt never give
up. In one of our games this year with the score 20 to 15 against us with
35 minutes to play he scored two baskets to tie the game and scored the
basket in the sudden death overtime to win 23 to el.

I believe the Johnny will be a good college basketball player and a
good student.

Hoping to be ef any assistance that I can in helping these boys from
Clear Lake lined up I remain
