Oklahoma A. & Me College of Stillwater, Okla., won the 1959-40 Missouri
Valley Conference basketball championship without the loss of a single game,
something accomplished only six times previously in the 35 years of title
play. The deliberate-playing Cowboys, with more punch than usual, swept
through 12 consecutive conference contests, overpowering all opposition with
a 41.6-point offensive average and a 25-point defensive mark»
