TOPEKA PUBLIC SCHOOLS Topeka, Kansas LINCOLN School November 28 1998 Dr. F.C. Allen, K.U. Dear Dr. Allen - Just now received your answer to my inquiry regarding bringing our boys to your game. We certainly appreciate your giving us this rate. Our demonstration consists in dribbling races, Passing, drills, etc. We usually end up by letting two squads oppese each other in a three or four minutegame, as the spectators seem to expect it. We appeared before the Washburn crowd a time or two last year, ‘ntie before Toveka High, and several times before suburban high schools, Since you are having the clinic Saturday this might be a good between halves anes: I dont feel like asking you to call off anything you have vlanned, but I am sure the boys will enjoy doing it and we have always found that the crowd enjoys it. We will be down to one or the other of your games, very likely the Saturday evening game, since I have not made arrangements for transportation while waiting for your answer, If however I cane get plenty of cars we will be down tomorrow night. In case you need to know before hand about our coming call’me at 22990, Topeka and I will pay the cost of the call. ( Home phone after 5:30, 7176 ) Thank you very much for your courtesy. W. Gates.
