Allen University of Kansas Lawrence, Kansas Dear Phogs I have hesitated writing to you about the M.V.A.A.U. situation in Kansas City for some time, hoping I would have an opportunity to see you and discuss the matter with you person- ally. However, it does not look as though that will be possible unless I can get up for one of the football games in the next two months. Am attaching copy of a letter I have written to Mr. McBride, which is self-explanatory. After considerable mis— understanding on everybody's part, it appears we are now getting along very well on our program. I know you are very close to Mr. McBride and he regards your judgment very highly.. It will be appreciated if you will, when possible, put in a good "plug" for our basketball program which, as you know, involves the promotion of strictly amateur sports. Kansas City is one of our leading marketing outlets, and we are most anxious to do everything possible to be able to play basketball in the Municipal Auditorium there. The first time I am in Lawrence, I will look you up and discuss the abovementioned matter more in detail with you. I suppose Eleanor has told you Mary Louise went Pi Phi at 0. U.
