Dear Dr, Allen:

Another basketball season will be with us before we know
it, but it seems only yesterday that you stretched me out
on the floor of your room in Hotel Howard, at Fayette, Mo.,
and gave my sacroilliac the works,

You were the young coach of the Warrensburg Normals, and
I a brash high school basketball player down in the back.

Now you are starting another year of coaching and I my
twentieth year of officiating.

My assignments for the regular season are in the Southwest
Conference, Missouri Valley and M.V.A.A.U., but I had
hoped that sometime our trails would cross again.

Possibly your pre-season or inter-conference schedule
would provide an opportunity to work some of your games,
