SOUTHEAST MISSOURI STATE TEACHERS COLLEGE W. W. PARKER, PRESIDENT CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI February 14 1941 Dir. Forrest C. Allen Department of Physicel Education University of Kansas Lawrence, Kansas Dear "Phog": I was glad to hear again from the best basketball coach in captivity. Under separate cover we are sending you a packet of printed material relative to basketball in the kingdom of Southeast Missouri. TI thought you would be interested in the easel carrying the home schedule. I meant to write you some time ago when I noticed the article in the "Saturday Evening Post" about you. I was interested to note how the son is starring on your team. Extend to him my heartiest congratulations. I imagine he is a chip off the old Allen block. I note that your team is leading the pack again this season. It seems to me that that would grow monotonous. I noticed an item on the sport page a few days ago to the effect that you are to coach baseball this spring. When the sun shines warm and the Kansas winds are reduced to spring zephyrs, I should like to be with you for a few days so that we could demonstrate to those boys how this baseball trick is turned. You may not remember that I am an old-time insider when it comes to baseball. Mrs. Parker joins me in the very best of good wishes to you and Mrs. Allen and the rest of the family. With every good wish, I am, Most cordially yours, Be W. W. PARKER President WWP :BC
