SOUTHEAST MISSOURI STATE TEACHERS COLLEGE W. W. PARKER, PRESIDENT CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI February 27 1941 Dr. Forrest C. Allen Department of Physical Education University of Kansas Lawrence, Kansas Dear Phog: I was glad to get your second letter of February 20 and to know that you received the basketball programs which I sent you and that you are pleased with them. We have here in Cape Girardeau one of the best printing establishments in the country, the Southeast Missourian. The Company retains its own artists and has its own engraving plant. For the easel bearing the schedule the cost for 500 plus 50 envelopes was $27.50. For either the rectangular or the basketball shaped programs 1500 for each of two games cost $65.00, $32.50 per game. I am wondering if you saw Bill, our youngest, in Columbia a few nights ago when your team played there. He is there in the School of Journalisn. A "way back when" gab fest would really be good. Mrs. Parker joins me in the very best of good wishes to you and Mrs. Allen. Sincerely yours, We We PARKER President WWP:3BC
