When we were in Kansas City discussing plans
for the game with the Great Lakes Naval Training Station
to be played in the Kansas City Auditorium on February Sth,
Mre Eugene Zachman and Neyor Gage both expressed the hope |
that the University of Kenses Band could play at the game.

I am leaving tonicht for Lincoln and Ames, and
will be in the office on Tuesday, but I wanted you to son-
sider the matter in the meantime.

I suggested to the Chancellor that you might
play at one or two of the Kansas City, Missouri, high sehools.
However, if this isn’t practical I am not presuming upon your
prerogatives because you haven't given me your consent that
you will play, but I hope you will. Im regard to transportation,
whatever you think is best will be quite satisfactory.

- gerenade the Star and maybe the Post just before nightfall.
They are both giving us lote of publicity on the game.
