Dear Dr. Allens

Enclosed is a copy of a letter from Dr. King
in which he sets forth his understanding that authority
is already granted to play basketball games off campus.

We trust that you and Dr. Davis will agree
that this is sufficient authority to you to proceed with
the arrangements for a game with Great Lakes basketball
team in the Municipal Auditorium at Kansas City on Febru-
ary 5.

We are holding that date open for a game with
you pending final arrangements which we hope will be
forthcoming soon.

Your cooperation in this respect is greatly
appreciated. All of our contacts with your university
have been so pleasant that we certainly look forwardto
an opportunity to meet you in a game at Kansas City.
