Mr. Rollie Williams Basketball Coach the State University of Iowa Towa City, lows Dear Rollie: Our first semester examinations begin on Thursday, January 22nd, and end on Thursday, January 29th. This puts me in a pretty tough spet to schedule @ game with you the 29th, because I may iose one or two of my boys who may be required to stay here for the final day's exam- inations. However, I em going to take a chance and schedule @ game with you at lowe City on the 29th of January, 1942. In your contract will you please make up on a reciprocal home and home begis a two-year guaranteed agreement? Will you also kindly state that we're to play the 1942-43 game at Lawrence, Kansas? I do not know when Mebraske desires to play, whether they desire to pley during the Imas vacation or during the academic year. However, I would much prefer to play our game during the reguler school term. Your exemination dates and hours doubtless will work out so that we could play you at a time that your Big Ten schedule will not conflict with ours. © Sincerely yours, Director of Physical Education and _ Reereation-Varsity Basketball and Baseball Coach.
