October 11, 1937. Mr, Forrest 0, = 215 Pershing Road Kansas City, — Dear Forrest: I wrote Bob Russell suggesting that for the imine of the Nationel Collegiate Basketball Rules meeting, which will be held in Kansas City at 2 o'clock on Saturday afternoon, December 4, we have a showing of this new film. It happens that I am Fifth District Chair- man of the National Rules body, and the interpreta- tion of rules for coaches and officials is held at that time. The meeting will be under my direction and for that reason I would appreciate if if your film company, or the powers that be, could fortuit- ously exhibit the film that aay for * the benefit of all those assembled, The coaches that will be present that day will be basketball coaches of the Big Six and the other Missouri Valleg conference coaches, Creighton, Tulsa, Drake, and so forth, and all the high sehool and college coaches of Kenseas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Colorado, anf Dakota. That 18 our dist- rict. rt may be that: they will not all be here, but they are invited guests for that meeting. We generally have 200 to 250 in attendance, If we could notify the officials and others ne of this attraction I em very sure that we will | have a large following out. ‘hat is ths reason I wrote Bob, and Bob suggested that I write you. The meetings are general held et the Hotel Kansas Citian, George Veenker, the Athletic Director of Iowa State College, is secretary of the . Siz directors, and he sets the meeting place. I will know about that in a few days, and will communicate that information to yous We could set a showing of the film at 2:30 pem.
