Dear Os:

In the Big Six Conference here we have what is know as
the double referee systeme However, I see a wealmess in the
system as it is operating here. The officials work the whole
game for one teame

In other words, referee A works: under Kansas' offensive
basket the first half and when the teams change goals referee A
works under Kansas' offensive basket the second half. I maintain
that it would be better if referee A worked under Kansas! basket
the first half end wmder Missouri's basket the second half. This
to apply to both officials.

Here is the point that I make. If you have a corking
good official in the game and a very much weaker one assisting
him, then the team that has the strong official gets the better
officiating, and the team that has the weaker official gets the
poor officiating. Now, if these officials would alternate teams
and not baskets for each half, then the best would be divided
equally and the poorest service would be divided equally.

I would like to know what you think about this because I
desire to present it to the coaches meeting for consideration,
and possibly to the rules body for discussione
