HEADQUARTERS Army Air Base Herington, Kansas ee October 1943 Dr. Forrest C. Allen Director of Physical Education University of Kansas Lawrence, Kansas Dear Sir: Your letter of 20 October received, I believe it best if we arranged our games on a home and home basis, with each team taking care of their own expense. In regard to our game at Lawrence on 1 December, we will either travel by rail or automobile, leaving here in suf- ficient time to play the game there and returning the same night. Since we are approximately one hundred and ten miles apart, the distance involved is negligible. We have open dates here on 28 December and 4 January both Tuesdays and would like to have you take your choice of either. It is safe to presume that a majority of our home games will be played at the Gymnasium on the Base, which is of regulation College dimensions. Trusting that I may hear from you about the 28 Decom- ber or 4 January dates, Sincerely - Jens Vga VINCENT J. end Lt., Air a i Physical Training Officer
