December 16, 1945. Mr. Reaves Peters, 342 So. Chelsea, Kansas city, MO« Dear Reaves: - I am happy with the arrangement that we have made with Wash- burn. I have asked Dee to fire ina lot of licity with pictures and we will do likewise. And with Missouri and Kansas State shoot- ing in a lot of publicity I think we will have a great crowd. I wouldn't raise the prices too high; perhaps the price we had for the Rockhurst game might be all right, but I would let Clyde Baker decide that. And by the way, Reaves, Shawnee-Mission wants to play agein at the first opportunity. Why couldn't we have some high school teams play at 6:45 each evening preliminary to our game? That would take care of four different high schools. If some of the Missouri high schools want tc play you arrange it; suppose we have two Kansas and two Missouri high schools - any way you see fit. And why wouldn't it be a good idea to sell those high schools fifty cent seats for 25 cents like we did before, and give the high schools half of it. Of course, I wouldn't give them the choice seats, but they could have the end seats and in that way it will bring in more of a crowd. Whoop it up and keep me advised. Sincerely yours, Director of Physical Education, FCA: AH Varsity Basketball Coach.
