Mr. Bob Stedlery sport Editor, The News, Buffalo, is ie: Dear Mr. Stedler: Some time ago I wrote Ned Irish regarding a yarn that appeared in the Converge Basketball Yearbook in 1941, on page 351, under the caption "Grand Old Masters of Basietball". Bask in 1905 the Kansas City Athletic Club played the Buffalo Germans in old Convention Hall in Kansas City. I happened to be the manager of the team and played right guard. The first game the Buffalo Germans won 40 to 363 the next geme we won 38 to 20; and the last game, which Dr. James Naismith refereed and U. 5. %. Plank of Haskell Institute, umpired, we won 45 to 14. In looking at this picture of the Germans of 1903 I remember many of these players - Heerdt, Miller, Rhode, Faust, and others. Then leoking at the picture of them as they are today I see lHan- weiler, Linneborn, the two Millers, and Al Meerdt.
