Noverber 19, 1942. Mr. KR, M. Kinnan, Supervisor, Intercollegiate Athletica, Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri. Dear Mr. Kinnans Dr. Allen has received your letter of the 16th, which I am acknowledging in his absence. He is at present in Lincoln, Nebraska, attending a Regional Institute of Physical Fitness Programs, and will be back in the office on Monday. I believe there is a possibility that our team might arrange to play in the Arena in St. Louis on their way home from New York. They play in Madison Square Garden on December 28, and will probably start home on the 29th. Their next game is on Jenuary 4th here in Lawrence. The conference schedule of 18 games is filled, but we are permitted to play service teams in addition to the conference allotment. If you could arrange a game with a service team I believe Dr. Allen would be glad to stop on the way home from New York. He will be here next week and will be glad to hear from you again. Sincerely yours, Bésretary, Department of Fhysical Education. 7
