In reply to your letter to Mr. Shankland, we will be
very happy to play December Oth at Municipal Auditor-
iume

Please pardon the long letter but would like to ask
several questions so that I may have all details
from Sart organized.

I assume we will be the only band present, but have
no preferences either waye Instead of drilling at
either of the half time periods, we have a group of
majorettes, who number among their routines several
acrobatic dances as well as twirling maneuvers and
{I am sure will be able to hold the "Fants"(Wolves)
attention. They have a Conga Line that has never
failed to sellout to the public. This gives me a
chance to stress the music angle with the band, as
you remember from the Wyandotte assembly, every-
thing from Bach to Boogie-Woogie. The band's play-
ing is very “important” as annaccompaniment to the ma-
jorettes.

AS I remember from attending other games, the bands
wére seated on the first floor in concert formation,
rather than uncomfortably in the balcony and hope
that you can. arrange for us to also be seated on the
arena floor as it will add to the band's ease in
playing.

What is the approximate time of the first game and
how will we be admitted? I imagine our pep club will
be represented 100% and probably most of the com-
munity alsoe Yhat is the way they turn out for such
an honor and occasion as this. .
I trust £ have not bored you with a lang letter and
in behalf of the band wish to thank you most graci-
ously for your invitation to us. The band mambers
will be there to "sellout".

 

Your talting about George Nettles and Kenneth Spencer
in the pep assembly made me very homesick, Spencer

lived next door to mg parents for several years and
Nettles was quite a college booster when I directed
