NMED TRISHA NINE ROCKEFELLER PLAZA NEW YORK CITY September 16th, 1942. Dr. Forrest C. Allen, Director of Physical Education, University of Kansas, Lawrence, Kansas. Dear Phog:- It is my understanding that the New York City schools which use the Madison Square Garden court have already sent word to their prospective opponents on this court for the 1942-43 season that the Gold- smith X9L ball would be used for all games. This note is just a reminder and a follow up since I have at the present time taken delivery on the balls which will be used during the coming season. This ball was the type which the coaches of the local teams requested me to order. It is tentatively planned to release the complete Madison Square Garden basketball schedule on or about October 20th. We would appreciate it if you have not already released your schedule if you could hold up any reference to your eastern trip until after that date. Lee Blaser, manager of the Buffalo Athletic Club, has been kind enough to again make the facilities of that. club available to the college teams which are plan- ning to compete in Buffalo during the 1942-43 season. I feel that the arrangements and accommodations offered by his organization are superior to any hotel accommoda- tions available and would suggest that you avail yourself of this opportunity. Sincerely yours, ee: f Basketball Madison Square Garden NI:FP
