When I first saw the carbon copy of the correspondence I noticed that Reilly's letter was sent to St. Bonaventure, New York, and thought that it should have bee: Buffalo, but we looked up the correspondence from him and that is their station - 5t. Bonaventure. of Athle There was only one error in Mr. Henry's letter - he said the game was to be in New York City, when it should be Buffalo. We have one copy of the contracts here. I remember Mr. Barl Falkenstien, our financial secretary, saying that the contracts had been sent in triplicate, so Mr. Henry signed them and two copies were returned. We have the third copy here. There is one interesting angle, Ned, that might make for publicity. In 1905 I played with the Kansas City Athletic Club when we beat the Buffalo Germans in a series of three games in Kensas City for the so-called world's championship. I was right guard and the manager of the Kansas City Athletic Club team. The first game they beat us 40-36, and the next game we beat them 30-28, and the last game we beat them 45-14. Dr. Nalemith refereed the third game as the two teams had had some difficulty with the previous officiating» | : I noticed in Conversets yearbook of the past year a photo- graph of the Buffalo Germans who played in that game. ‘they were | physicians and prominent citizens of Buffalo.
