- april 27, 1942. Mrs Ned Irish, Director of Basketball, 9 Rockefeller Plaza, New York City, N.Y. Dear Ned: I am confirming ow game with St. Bonaventure in Memorial Auditorium, Buffalo, for December 26, and Fordham Unive ersity in New York on December 28, as per your letter of Appil 23rd. We are following your suggestions of taking on st. Bonae venture instead of Temple, as I quite agree with you that the _ gate receipts will doubtless be better in Buffalo. You state in your letter you will conform to our ~ | of 1940. In your letter as of April 15, 1940, you stated that you will give us for expenses $2080. Of this amount $1500 would be reimbursed by Fordham and $580 by Temple. You may have the athletic directors of St. Bonaventure and Fordham send contracts to Mr. Gwinn Henry, the Director of Athletics at the University of Kansas. I desire to bring my customary fifteen men. I believe that our boys will give a better accoumt of themselves this next year than they did in their first venture in New York and Philadelphia. Although we have an entirely new personnel, the boys are a little more aggressive and I believe can stand the elements better. We had a rather sad experience trip to New York of each one of the boys taking flu. We to Se the who were flat on their backs most of the way to New York. With all good wishes, I a Sincerely yours, Director of Physical Biucation and Recreation, FCA :AH Varsity Basketball and Baseball Coach.
