Dear Doc:

T had just finished talking with Jack Coffey and Ed
Kelleher up at l'ordham when your letter of March 30th, arrived
advancing the idea of playing here early in December. Since
your note earlier in the month I had been setting up your date
to fall during the same time as your trip of two years ago.

Fordham is quite anxious to schedule your team on its
holiday date in the Garden. This would be the first game for
Fordham in the Garden according to our schedule for the home
teams. There will be two dates in the Garden prior to the
holidays, Saturday,. December 12th, and Saturday, December 19th.
City College and Long Island University have the use of the
Garden court on Saturday, December 12th, with New York Univ-
ersity and St. Johns having the court on Saturday, December 19th.
It is my understanding from the officials at these institutions
that they have entered or completed negotiations for games on
this date. City College plans to play Oklahoma A. & M. on Sat-
urday, December 12th, as it has done for the past three years.
Long Island University has been in touch with Brigham Young for
a game on the same date. New York University has completed
arrangements with Syracuse University for its game on December 19th,
and Joe Lapchick of St. John's informs me that he has been in
touch with Bruce Drake of Oklahoma University to continue their
game on December 19th.

I do not know whether City and Long Island have definitely
closed with Oklahoma Ae & M. and Brigham Young, so I cannot be
very specific on the possibility of your coming here on that date.
If yo can adjust your contemplated games between Christmas and
New Year's I am sure that the arrangements could be satisfactorally
completed without delay for a game with Fordham in the Garden,
Canisius in Memorial Auditorium, Buffalo and Temple, St. Joseph's
or LaSalle in Convention Hall, Philadelphia.
