Education University of Kansas Lawrence, Kansas My dear Dr. Allen: Undoubtedly you have already received a letter from Mr. Ned Irish regarding room accommodations for your teams when they come to New York to play in Madison Square Garden. We are pleased to announce that the Belvedere Hotel, directly opposite Madison Square Garden, will be official headquarters for the Basket Ball Teams this coming season. We have made special rates to accommodate two members of your team to a room at $2.00 per person or $4.00 for the room. For either the manager or coach we have arranged to give a two-room suite at the rate of $4.00. We feel these rates are excellent value as all of our rooms are exceedingly large, and each has its own private bath with tub-shower combination, as well as a small serving ‘kitchen. Our Belvedere restaurant offers the best in good, substan- tial food, and to the Basketball teams we can offer specially arranged, athletic dinners, consisting of fruit cup, individ- ual steak, baked potato, green vegetable salad, dessert, and beverage for $1.75, or any specially arranged menus. We would request that you make reservations for the desired number of rooms and suites weli in advance, so that we may arrange to have the teams together in adjoining rooms or on the same floor. Should there be any further information that you desire in assisting you to line up your reservations, please do not hesitate to so ask me. We are looking forward with much pleasure to having you and your team with us, and with our best wishes for a successful season, we are. Cordially yours, Zc (angen OS OR tings Géorge A.
