Allen Director of Physical Education University of Kansas Lawrence, Kansas Dear Doctor: Thank you for your letter of October 17th. It pleases us very much that you will include us on your Basketball schedule. We will be very happy to play your team on January 16, 1943 at the Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Missouri. You made mention of also playing Camp Crowder on the same night. It is my opinion that it would be much better for the attraction of the game if it were possible to bring in a fourth team to play Camp Crowder. I believe that there are a number of teams we could contact and arrange for one of them to meet Camp Crowder. : If it would be agreeable with you to bring in an additional team, please inform me. I don't know how strong our team will be this year, but in all probability the personnel will have many changes during the Season, because I am anxious for all of these men to get into Officers’ Candidate School as soon as possible as after all we are in this War and I wish to see all of these men receive promotions as rapidly as possible. You mentioned in a previous letter about playing you in Lawrence on December lst or 2nd. We will be very glad to schedule tnis game-if agreeable with you. With kindest personal regards and best wishes, I am incerely/ yours d J. O'Sullivan lst Lites ¥, A Special Services Officer
