Dear Sir:

I have been assigned to duty on the staff of Lt. William F,
Krickhan, Jr., athletic officer at Camp Crowder, to assist in the
arrangement of athletic programs, and to write sports news for the
camp paper.

Within a few weeks we expect to put out a'special sports edition
of our paper, and inasmuch as our Camp Crowder cagers will play your
basketball team this season, I would appreciate it very much if you
would have your publicity man send me some mats of yourself and some
of your players for use in this special edition. I would also be
very grateful if you would write a short piece for this edition, just
a few paragraphs on basketball with permission to use your by-line.
