REFER TO NO. U. S. NAVAL TRAINING STATION GREAT LAKES, ILLINOIS NM3/P10-1(6) June 12, 1942 Dear "Phog": Received your letter of June 9 regarding Missouri- Kansas-Great Lakes setup in basketball. I was sorry to hear that you hed scheduled the Iowa Naval Cadets for a game in Kansas City the night be- fore we play you. Such a previous game, undoubtedly, will detract from our game the following night. I believe, under the circumstances, we should try to arrangesome form of doubleheader on the 29th and 30th, Naturally we did not know of Missouri's drawing power in Kansas City, but we do believe on January 29, a Missouri-Great Lakes game, and a Kansas-Iowa Naval game, followed on January 30 with a Kan- sas-Great Lakes game, and a Missouri-Iowa Naval game, ought to have more drawing power than the present arrangement. May I hear from you at your earliest convenience. Sincerely yours, Spell We tele PAUL D.
