Dear Mr. Allen:

We have an opportunity to be on Ned Irish's basketball
program at Madison Square Garden this year, sometime
during the Christmas holidays. Since Texas has never
had the opportunity to play in New York before, I think
it would be a good thing for the school and also a fine
trip for our boys if we accept this invitation. A
definite arrangement with Mr. Irish has not been com-
pleted because we are to be on a program with Oklahoma.
We would like very much to play you on our return home
from New York. I certainly hope this will be satisfac-
tory with you and can be arranged.
