Dear Dean Neff:

I ablnowledge receipt of your letter of the 25th instant enclosing
deatinte ar of the contract for a basketball game between the University
of Kansas and the University of Wichita,

After seanning over the contract in ~ presence of Mr. Earl Falkenstien,
our Financial Secretary, there are same considerations in the contract that should F
be further discussed. One item is that messes should not be counted. All athletic
associations recognize the fuct tmt there are a certain number of necessary
passes, but the feeling is m the part er that a sortain musber
of passes should be speci fieds

It is also desirable perhaps that the University of Kansas should have
@ certain number of tickets for parents of the pleyers who will participate in
the game. I mow this is a practice for the home team and doubtless the courtesy
should be extended to visitors because we will have two full teams there and the
parents of the boys will be desirous of seeing the eatest.

The item in regard to students of the tniversity of Wichita being
admitted free, is a moot point in the mind of Mre Falkenstiene In all of our
contracts student tickets are counted at 20¢ gross and they are figured in the
gross income. At no place where we play are students adnitted freee

Another: Steu ‘whieh states that if there is a ietabet from faneas for
a financial statement, a financial statenent will be mde. The University of
Kansas does request ea financial statement on all athletic emtests as it is
necessary to lmve this when the certified vublic accountent comes annually to
audit the bookse It would be better to make a check payable to the University
of Kansas, Athletic Association, than to pay in cash. The check then, of course,
is a receipt and the financial statement can be filed with the secretary cf the
Athletic AGROSIEE a
