Dear Gwinn:

I wish to recommend the following men for their Varsity
"Ek" award in Baseball for the season of 1941.

I have been especially pleased with the interest and endeavor
of these men. ‘Sansas has faced the most difficult schedule under the
most trying conditions. Practically all of last year's team either left
school or graduated and the fact that Kansas did as well as she has done
under, the most adverse conditions is a real tribute to the moral and
fighting courage of these nondescript youngsters.

At one time I had a line-up in which the entire infield had
never participated either on the Freshman or Varsity team.

it is with pleasure that I make this recommendation.

P.S. I am herewith inclosing a list of men who have been recommended

to me by Ralph M. Dugan, freshman baseball coach. I desire to compliment
Ralph Dugen for his untiring and enthusiastic work with these boys.
