for only fourth piace in the Conferences; however, these boys doggedly
refused to get whipped and did something I thought they could not

Columbia, Wissouri, February 2lst, I am suimitting an itemized account of

Some menbers of the Athletic Board expressed an opinion that I
should not bear the expense of the tripe

The trip was undertaken at my omm expense and on the initiation
of the Freshmen boys on the squad, so I felt personally liable and of course
expected to bear the full expensée Howover, you stated that you desired a
memorandum on the expense so that you could present the same for payment.
