8 UNIVERSITY DAILY KANSAN Thursday, November 30, 1967 Viet policy to remain the same The resignation of Secretary of Defense Robert S. McNamara probably won't affect the country's Vietnam policy, two KU ROTC colonels agreed Wednesday. "I don't think it's going to change our policy," said Col. William Brinkerhoff, Army ROTC. The President is the one who must make the major decisions, he said. Lt. Col. Charles H. Brown jr., Air Force ROTC, also said he foresaw no policy change. "Although McNamara was one of the most disliked men in Washington," said Brinkerhoff, "he was an extremely valuable and efficient man." McNamara's choice to leave was "unfortunate." Brinkerhoff said. Brinkerhoff said although he didn't know when the conflict would end, indications from Gen. William Westmoreland suggest the war is going very well.
