Wednesday, March 19. 1980 7 Law School notifications delayed By JON BLONGEWICZ Staff Renorter University of Kansas students who have applied to law schools across the country are spending a lot of time waiting for their mail. Because of an Educational Testing Service computer problem, law schools have been delayed in completing applications for next fall. "It given me an ulcer waiting for my application to be completed," Kent Sanders, Overland Park school, said yesterday. "I applied two months ago." Bryce Abbott, Topka senior, said he had made several phone calls to the Law School counselor and wrote a letter to Law School Admissions Test, to try to straighten out the delay in processing his case. "It has really upset my plans," Abbott said. Last week Abbott had to take his own copy of the book. Washburn University's law school, "I spent $60 for nothing," Abbott said. WHEN STUDENTS take the LSAFT they pay to have the LAAS forward their test results and transcripts to the schools where they have submitted an application. The cost to each applicant varies. It costs $15 to take the test, $18 to have one LASR report sent to a school and $20 to have five additional reports sent. AT KU, according to Lillian S., director of school admissions, 280 applications at nursery school.
