9 Bowling team fights obscurity and low scores By KELLY McCARTHY Sports Writer Tucked away in a corner of the Kansas Union is a place known as the Jay Bowl—on the back of KU's bowling team. Twelve lanes have a double pitch, one for one of the least known sports teams at KU. "I'm very upset about it." Boozer said. "There are, and have been, some outstanding people on the team that no one ever knew about." Warren Boozer, Jay Bowl manager and coach, isn't content with the lack of interest in the team. THIS WEEKEND MIGHT provide the chance for KU bowlers to make themselves known.
