According to the Centers for Disease Control's website, tuberculosis is spread when a person with the disease in his or her lungs or throat coughs, sneezes, speaks or sings. People nearby may become infected when breathing in the tuberculosis bacteria. The disease is not spread by physical contact such as shaking hands or sharing food and drink.
Only those who spent time in a confined space with the infected student are at risk of developing tuberculosis and those at risk have already been notified.

mety said it is possible the Court of Appeals will issue another injunction, which means voting results could be released later than Friday. Last Thursday in a hearing, Jayhawkers' appeal to the disqualification was turned down by the Court of Appeals based on multiple conflicts of interest in multiple coalitions. The appeal was then expedited to the University Judicial Board and the board is slated to make a decision within a week or so.
However, if the University Judicial Board calls for another hearing, a decision might take several weeks. Until the next student body president and vice president are determined, the current executive staff said in a press release that they will continue to work diligently and await a timely decision. They also said they trust the UJB will make a decision that upholds the integrity of the Student Senate elections process.
