would see which concern was mostfilled. In another exhibit, people followed a self-guided tour to compare fresh versus processed food. Examples were displayed on two shelves, one on top of the other, for easy comparison.
"It was kind of interesting to go to the few of the different exhibits, what [Chipotle's] using and what other people are using [in food supply]," said Aron Muci, a University graduate student. "I didn't know what to expect at first. It's a weird experience because we are all here, it's so hot, it feels like we are being herded through, but it's cool. It been a good atmosphere and the music was
great, too."
Another tent introduced several well-known chefs, such as Amanda Freitag, known for her work on the Food Network, and Graham Elliot from "Top Chef" season two, who were there to show demos. Almost all of the chairs were filled 30 minutes before the chefs began their show.
The self-proclaimed fast-casual chain has hosted this Cultivate festival of "music, food and ideas" for about five years. Over those several years, it's been to six other cities: Phoenix, Denver, San Francisco Dallas, Chicago, Minneapolis and for the first time this year, Kansas City, Mo.
