But the hayhawks battled back in the bottom of the seventh. With one out, sophomore catcher Dani May singled up the third base line. Senior center fielder Shelly Musser followed with a line drive to center that advanced May to third. With runners on first and third, senior right fielder Leah Tabb stepped to the plate. The Wichita State catcher tried to catch Weinstein stealing second, but the throw was errant, allowing Musser to score for the 3-2 victory.
