Page 6 University Daily Kansan Wednesday, Oct. 31, 1962 Hall Leaves P-T-P Post Bruce Hall, Coffeyville junior, resigned as chairman of the KU People-to-People job placement committee. The action came in the P-t-P executive board meeting last night. Hall said he was unable to give the position the attention it requires. William Schaefer, Shawnee Mission senior and chairman of the KU P-t-P, said later. "The board regrets the loss of Hall's leadership. We hope, however, to use him in an advisory capacity." IN OTHER P-T-P developments, it was announced KU P-t-p will work with the American Field Service, an organization which sponsors American-foreign student high school exchanges. Sharon Foster, Birmingham, Mich. senior and chairman of the P-t-P hospitality committee, said her committee and the field service are planning a high school foreign student weekend this spring at KU. Miss Foster said the field service and P-t-P will select University students to chaperon foreign high school students on a bus trip throughout the U.S. next summer. HALL ANNOUNCED the board is considering cooperating with national F-t-P and the KU business and engineering councils to establish a summer job placement program. Under the program, Schafer explain, national P-t-p European representatives would provide jobs in Europe for American students on direct exchange for summer jobs for foreign students in the U.S. In other P-t-P action, Clay Blair, Jbplin, Mo., freshman, was selected chairman of the organization's forum committee, initiated this year to conduct discussions on current international problems and literature of American and foreign countries.
