A proposal for a festival was made at a recent Student Union Activities meeting by Mike Bush, Webster Groves, Mo., junior. It was decided that a survey would be taken to determine if there is sufficient student interest. The festival would include five top college jazz bands picked from over 500 invited, plus a big name jazz band. KU's location in the center of the United States would make it easy for bands from all over the country to come, Bush said. SUA representatives will be visiting various living groups in the next few weeks to discuss the proposed festival.
