This is an increase of about 25 per cent over last year and is due largely to the transfer of first year instruction in medicine to the Kansas City, Kan., center from the Lawrence campus and the transfer of graduate students in anatomy, biochemistry and physiology from the Lawrence campus. Enrollment by categories is: first year medicine, 115; second year, 102; third year, 105; fourth year, 94; interns, 22; resident physicians and fellows, 148; degree program in nursing, 113, and licensed practical nurses, 65. X-ray technology, 61; medical technology, 9; occupational therapy, 15; physical therapy, 27; mortuary science, 40, and graduate students and post-doctoral fellows, 90. Four KU Graduates To Train for Corps A Lawrence alumna is the fourth KU graduate who will train for the KU Peace Corps project in Costa Rica. Petra Moore, 1962 graduate in anthropology and philosophy, will join more than 30 other volunteers when they arrive here today to prepare for work in Costa Rican secondary and higher education. Miss Moore, who has near fluency in Spanish, completed work for her B.A. degree in three years and was on the Dean's Honor Roll. She was a member of the International, Philosophy, Anthropology and Latin American Area clubs. Other KU graduates to train for the project are Barbara Richards, Hays (1959, anthropology); Sara Pringle, Kansas City, Mo. (1962, elementary education), and Suzanne Strayer, Prairie Village (1962, Latin American area). NROTC to Hold Cadet Reception A captain's reception for all Navy ROTC midshipmen at KU will be held at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the Kansas Room of the Kansas Union. Captain Richard Gruber, professor of naval science, will greet the cadets and their dates informally at the full-dress affair. The Hawkwatch Society, KU ROTC social organization, is host.
