Some students come to college with a good cleaning routine already in place but still find it difficult to keep up with maintaining their living space. In the Kansan survey, 55 percent of respondents cited a busy schedule as the main factor preventing them from cleaning on a regular basis. "I've been responsible for everything since I was 8," Felicia Alvarado, Salina junior, said. "Now, cleaning almost always happens on the weekends, because that's when I have time. Going to school full time and working until 4 a.m. makes it difficult to keep things clean."
