Bob Karnes, the Drake coach, was KU track and cross country coach Bill Easton's first cross country coach here. Karnes and Bill Dotson are the only Jayhawkers to serve as both track and cross country captain. When the two distance teams meet, KU will be going after its 15th straight dual victory. Thus far in the season the Jayhawkers have beaten Southern Illinois and the Chicago Track Club in duals. LAST WEEK Drake topped Nebraska and Iowa State in a triangular at Ames, Iowa.
