Regier Attends Conferences

Herold Regier, KU assistant professor of education, will represent KU today at the Kansas College Conference on Teacher Education at the University of Wichita.
He and Dale Scannell, assistant professor of education, will be discussion leaders at the conference. William York, associate professor of education, and John Nettleton, graduate assistant in the KU School of Education, will accompany them.
Plane Door Falls in Garden
CHICHESTER, England—(UPI)—A 15-foot square under-carriage door fell off a Royal Air Force Canberra yesterday and dropped into Robert Smith's garden.
The only damage was to the flowers.
The conference will consider ways in which Kansas colleges and universities can improve programs for prospective teachers.

Ernest O. Melby, professor of education at Michigan State University, will be the featured speaker. He will talk on "The Process of Teaching."
Yesterday, Prof. Regier and Nettleton attended a conference of the Kansas Association of Teacher Placement Officers at Friends University.
Prof. Regier spoke on the topic of research.
