Warren said the tellers did not know whether the second man was armed. The men were wearing nylon stockings over their heads, Warren said. At 10:55 a.m., Lawrence police received a call from Pioneer Savings and Loan, 2301 Iowa St. The caller said two men left the building after taking an unknown amount of money from the bank tellers. The men left on foot in a south to southwest direction, said Sgt. Mark Warren, Lawrence police representative. Police had not arrested anyone as of yesterday afternoon, but they are investigating the case by canvassing neighborhoods in the area, Warren said.
