Four other teams will be there, including Big 12 rival Missouri, and the Jayhawks will rely on their offensive strength as well as their experience. "Offensively, we've been swinging the bats really well," Coach Tracy Bunge said. "We just need to play mistake-free mental games and to be really sharp defensively." Leadership and experience are the keys to success for the ninthranked Kansas softball team. After practicing for two months, the players said they were ready to "It's really flattering that we're in the top 10, but we have to prove that we deserve to be up there," outfielder Julie True said.
