These are all what we call memories — memories of the past four years at the University of Kansas, and memories that will last this years graduating seniors a lifetime. "I still remember my college years as the best years of my life," said Mary jenkins, a KU. communications director from St. Louis. "It's a time of your life you can't go back on, so you have to make the best of it while you're there." According to Janis Woodard, PhD, memories are what keep some people going in the morning. If people did not have memories, life would not be as exciting to reminisce about with friends. KU graduating seniors have many memories to reminisce with their friends about, whether it be memories from the first day at school or anticipating walking down the hill. Remember when the Jayhawks went to the NCAA championship basketball game in 1991? For some seniors, the week leading up to the game was their best memory from "It was great going to the Final Four again this year, but everybody was on spring break, so it wasn't the same as two years ago," said Martha Bee, a Columbus, Ohio senior. "This year I was in Columbus going to interviews, when in '91 I was at bars with all my friends in Lawrence." Many people loved going on campus after beating North Carolina and Arkansas in 1991. Jocelyn Brody, a Chicago student going to nursing school next year, said that she loved "going up on campus and everyone being so friendly to each other."
