Vacations give graduates a chance to get away Europe top choice as travel destination
When graduation time rolls around, many graduates aren't thinking about the job market, they're thinking about a well-deserved, greatly needed vacation.
After four, and sometimes more, long years of college, many graduates feel that they need to take a little time off to relax and prepare themselves for the future and the job market.
"Vacations are ranging from two weeks to the whole summer," said Carol Khoury, a travel consultant for Maupintour Travel Service. "And Europe seems to be the number one destination."
Khoury said that many students are receiving trips to Europe as graduation presents. Other students are using graduation money to help them out with their trips.
"Many reservations for these trips were being made as long ago as last fall." she said.
According to Ports Unlimited Travel Service, Europe was the most popular destination for graduating students.
But Europe isn't the only place that stu-

said he's going to Florida for a week.

Many students like Macleod and Craner feel they need to get away from the hustle and bustle of a college town. They believe that if they go away to a place to enjoy themselves, they will be ready to get into the job market when they return.
Other students feel that they need more than a week to get away.
There are some students who are going on vacations with family members. They feel they need to spend some time with their families since they have not done so in the last few years.
"I'm moving to Dallas for the summer," said Joanna Cramer, Olate graduating senior. "I need some time off and away before I enter law school."
Mel Schoemann, Omaha, Neb., graduating senior, said that she's going to spend some time with her sisters. They are going to Vail, Colo., for five days.
"We decided we need to spend some time together before we all go our separate ways," she said.
