Three parking permits, valued together at $93, were taken between Sunday and Wednesday from cars parked in lots at Gertrude Sellars Pearson-Corbin Hall, Sunnyside and Illinois streets and Jayhawker Towers, KU police reported.
ON THE RECORD
A KU fraternity's designated driver fought with a member he was taking home after an alteration started in the car, Lawrence police reported. The driver picked up his fraternity brother from a
bar Wednesday night and had him bar down in the back seat of the car. The driver stopped the car once to calm the man, but after he started driving again, the passenger jumped into the front seat and began wrestling with the driver. The passenger began kicking the passenger door, and he broke the window. He climbed through the window, and the driver also got out. The two fought each other for about 15 minutes before police arrived.
