WEATHER Source: Jeff Brandberg, KU Weather Service: 864-3300 ON THE RECORD A Lawrence resident riding a motorcycle was struck by a car at the intersection of Iowa and Stratford streets Monday night, Lawrence police reported. The motorcycle was southbound on Iowa Street when the car made a left-hand turn onto Iowa from Stratford Street. Police estimated that the speed of the motorcycle was between 37 and 43 mph. The motorcyclist was not wearing helmet. He was in serious condition at the University of Kansas Medical Center yesterday morning and was expected to be released yesterday afternoon. Two windows were broken at the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity house, 1116 Indiana St., on Monday night, Lawrence police reported. A resident of the house was started by the sound of breaking glass at about 1:15 a.m. and saw two men running away toward campus.
