The selection will be made at the opening of the season in the spring. Ability to play ball will be the determining factor in the selection of each player. The ability to play ball will depend much on the physical condition which should be maintained by regular and careful eating, sufficient sleep taken at the proper time, and systematic exercise both in the gymnasium and out of doors. Besides this indispensable care of the physical condition, practice with bat and ball on every possible occasion should be engaged in.
