School of Languages.
The undersigned, members of the Faculty of the State University, propose to open a Summer School of Languages. In so doing they aim to meet the wants of all those who desire instruction in advanced studies and are not able, being themselves teachers, or for other reasons, to attend our high schools or state institutions. They have specially in view those students who expect to be candidates for entrance to the University and whose preparation has been left slightly defective by the incomplete courses of their home school. They further desire particularly to bring together as many teachers as possible who are themselves engaged in teaching languages in preparatory schools, in order that they may come in contact with the methods employed in the University, and may thereby be better prepared to fit their own students for entrance to University work. The session will begin on June 22nd, and continue five weeks. A small fee will be charged.
