The Globe-Democrat of St Louis is, through its specials from Lawrence, doing the University some very good work. Ditto Chicago Times and Inter-Ocean.
Some dissatisfaction arising among a few of the state colleges as to the time and place of holding the state oratorical contest, two delegates from each institution will assemble in Topeka next Saturday to form a state organization and complete arrangements. W.C. Spangler and L.H. Leach are the delegates from the University. As the local contest drew so good an audience here it is probable that we will have the state contest here also.
